YOUNG SCUD was got by the far-famed thorough-bred horse Scud, out of Young Currance Lass, by Whalebone out of Windsor, the property of John Jones, Esq., of Cherry Farm ; great grand dam Windsor was imported from Valparaiso, by John Jones, Esq , thus showing some of the beat blood this side the Line. Loudon Tam is a rich hay horse, rising 6 years old, short and compact, with fine flat bone, and stands 17 hands high. He was bred by Mr Robert Robson, of Green Lee, Lovell’s Flat, out of bis prize marc Jessie, and gained the first prize at the Tokomairiro Agricultural Society’s Show in 1871 as a one-year old. Jessie was hied in Tasmania, and imported by James Stewart, Esq., and she has gained several first and second prizes at Tokomairiro Shows, both as a brood and yeld mare. Her sire was the imported horse Sir Colm Campbell, and as a Clydesdale mare she is second to none in Otago. Loudon Tam’s sire was tho celebrated horse Marquis. A paddock will be provided free for mares from a distance. All care taken, but.no responsibility.
