HANDICAP TROTTING RACE, 10 Sovs. Distance, two and a-half miles. Weight, list each. Entrance, 10s Gd. NEWTOWN HANDICAP, 10 Sovs. Open to all horses. One mile. Entrance, 7s Gd. The Winner of the Matakanui Handicap to carry 7ib penalty. SECOND DAY— Friday, January 29th. MINERS’ PURSE, 10 Sovs. Three-quarter mile heats. Weight, 9st. For all horses who have never won an advertised race over LlO. Entrance, 15s. MI DoU MMER HAN DICAP, 15 Sovs. Open to all horses. One and a-qimrter miles. Nomination, 10s Gd. Acceptance, 10s Gd. Nominations will be received by the Secretary, up to 8 p.m., on the 2Sth January. Weights immediately after acceptance at 10 o’clock tho same evening. SELLING STAKES, 10 Sovs. The winner to bo sold by auction after the race, and the surplus over entered price (if any) to go to the Race Fund. Distance, one mile. If entered to be sold for Lls, to carry Ost; for LlO. Bst; L 5, 7st. Entrance, 15s. FREE HANDICAP, 10 Sovs Distance, one mile. Weights to be declared on the Course. Acceptance, 10s Gd, HOSPITAL RACE, Sovs. Distance, one and a-quarter miles. Welter weight for age. Gentlemen riders. A silver cup, value LlO guineas, will be presented by the Club, to be won by the same horse two years iu succession before becoming the property of the owner, The winner to hold possession of the cup till the next Annual Meeting. Entrance, ss. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, 5 Sovs. For all beaten horses. Three-quarters of a mile. Entrance, ss. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No person will bo allowed to enter or run a horse in this Programme unless ho be qualified as a subscriber of not less than one guinea to tbo Race Fund. No entries will bo received for any of the above Races except under this condition. That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whomsoever they may appoint, and their decision on all paints connected with tire carrying out of the Programme shall be final. Jockey costume will be strictly enforced. A deduction of five per cent will be made from tho gross amount of the stakes. Three horses to start for all post entry races or no race. The Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced.
