Frozen meat market—Canterbury mutton and New Zealand lamb have declined one-eighth of a penny ; rest are unaltered. New Zealand Hemp—Firm. Good Wellington May-July shipments, £24 10s. . Wool—Compared with the May closing rates medium inferior merinos were at par in the series just ended. Finer sorts advanced 5 per cent. Lower crossbreds were at par, having fully recovered the opening decline. Medium fine crossbreds were at par to 5 per cent below the opening rates. The "Akaroa" clip realised 4|-d. The total number of bales catalogued was 291,000. Sold foi , tise 146,000, for the Continent 120,000, for America 12,000, carried forward 48,000. Wheat—A cargo by the Canterbury sold at 28s 9d. Silver—2s 2§d.
