FARMERS' UNION.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION".] Palmerston North, This day. On the Farmers' Union Conference resuming this morning the delegates expressed dissent with the Fair Rent Bill, and decided to approve a scheme drawn up by the Taranaki Conference for co-operative tire insurance. It was resolved that the Government be asked t-j briui* in a Compulsory Accident Insurance Bill on the lines of the German Act. It was decided that the amalgamation of the Union with the Farmers' Union be not entertained, but the membere of the Producers' Union to be welcomed as ordinary members of the Farmers' Union. The selection of an official organ for the Farmers' Union was left to the executive.
