TRADING STAMPS.

[FROM OUR PARLIAMENTARY REPORTER.) [BY telegraph.] Wellington, Last night. A bill to amend the Trading Stamps Abolition Bill of last session is being introduced by the Government. That Act, it haß been found, while doing all that was required of it in abolishing the Trading Stamp Company, does.not meet a new state of things that has arisen since then, namely, the issue of trading stamps by traders themselves. The Act merely prohibits the issue of trading stamps which entitle the holder thereof to demand and receive from any trading stamp company any money, on goods. This is got over by traders issuing trading stamps which they themselves redeem, and it is with the object of putting a stop to this practice, and also presumably of increasing the , demand for Government discount stamps, that the timet, ding bill is being introduced.
