Untied Press Association. By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. (Received Dec. 10, 10.54 p.m.) Adelaide, Dec. 10. The Victoria, attended by the Royal Arthur, arrived after a rough passage. Lord Hopetoun told an interviewer that he had not much improved since he left Fremantle, though he thought that a fortnight in Sydney would restore him. He looks very ill and weak, and walked with the assistance of a stick, so exhausted was he by the exertion of transferring from the steamer to the warship. He visits the Governor and Ministers. The reception ceremonies have been curtailed in consequence. The Royal Arthur sailed for Sydney in the afternoon. Lord Hopetoun's two sons proceeded overland. Sydney, Dec. 10, The Freetrade party opened the Federal campaign by a big demonstration in the Town Hall. Speeches were made by Messrs Reid, McMillan, and other leaders. They adopted a series of resolutions in favor of a Freetrade Federal tariff framed for the purposes of revenue only.
