EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
Substantial All-round Increase.
[pee press association.] Wellington, Last, night. A return published by the Agricultural Department shows the quantity and value of produce exports for the month of November to have been as follows :—Butter, 24,999cwt, value £106,825; cheese, 5727cwt, £13,479; beef, 19,769cwt, £24,895; carcase mutton, .59 495cwt, £67,694; legs and pieces, SOoocwt, £3339 ; lamb, 3490wt, £525. All show an increase as compared with November, 1899, except carcase mutton. Mutton shows a decrease in number of 91,403 carcases and value of £44,622, and legs and pieces decrease in value of £3992. The value of exports from April to November inclusive is : — Butter £261,356, cheese £106,672, beef £217,538, mutton £675,053, lamb £418,109; For the eight months of this year, as compared with last, mutton shows a decrease of £175,855. ■ •
