[per press association.] Wellington, Last night. The Premier has received the following cablegram from the Premier of New South Wales :-" Kindly acquaint the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University at Wellington, Sir George C itford (Christchurch), Mr Justice Martin, the editors of the daily papers in Wellington. Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch, luvetcargill, Napier, and Timaru, presidents of Chambers of Commerce at Auckland, South Canterbury, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Wellington, and their wives, and Maori chiefs enumerated in Mr Pollen's letter of the Ist inst. that invitations will be posted them by tomorrow'd mail for the Commonwealth celebrations."
