United Press Association By Electric Telegraph, — Copyright. (Received Dec. 8, 1 a.m.) London, Dec 7. The Czar rises daily. His temperature and pulse are normal. The death is announced of Senator Davis, of Minnesota, aged G2. Under the extended franchise fifteen new members were returned to the City Council, thirteen of whom were elected on the reform ticket. Sir Matthew Harris (Mayor) and Sir William Manning were defeated. Melbourne, Dec. 7. The Kauri Timber Company's profits for the year are £35,G65. A A dividend of three shillings is pro posed, which is as large as is practicable- in view of the fact; that cash payments will be made in the near future.
