New Plymouth, This day,

In the Magistrate's Court this morning, Mr Stanford, S.M., gave judgment in the case of Courtney v. Callaghan, Medley, and Co. The parties are all land agents. Plaintiff offered the defendands £300 for a certain property, which was accepted in writing, but before plaintiff had time to complete, defendants cried off. Plaintiff brought an action for £100 for breach of contract, and judgment was given for full amount -and fullest costs, the Magistrate expressing himself very strongly. Notice of appeal was given. _____________
