The Egmont Farmers' Union. Ltd., r6 At "our usual fortnightly sale at Manaia, on the 25th ult., but very little «tock came forward. There was a good enquiry for sheep, wethers 10s 6d io 11s 9d, lamb 10s to 10s 4d. . On the 26th ult. we held a clearing sale on account of Mr W. B. Ireland, oi the Pembroke ro-td, Stratford, when there was a large attendance. The stock were in splendid condition and realised satisfactory prices, and also the sun dries. Dairy cowa £3 5s to £8 17s 6d, dairy heifers £3 to £5 10s, weaners 13s 6d to £1 14e, horses £9 15s to £17 ss, pias 9s to 13s. At Stratford, on the 27th ult., more than the advertised number of stock came forward, the Bulk of which changed Jhands at the hammer, or before leaving the yards. We held our monthly horse fair on the 28th mat., when there was a good yardin2 of horses, most of which were of better quality than of late. As several buyers from a distance were present, all oood sorts were keenly competed for.
