Mararoa arrived at 6 a.m. this morning from Sydney via Auckland and Gisborne, and leaves again at noon to-day for Wellington. The U.C. s.s. Moura is due from Auckland early on Monday morning, and is advertised" to leave for southern ports at HOOD. The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Omapere is due from Auckland and coast on Monday. The U.S.S. Co.'s Floia is due here on Tnesdav from southern ports, and is advertised to sail at 5 p.m. on t'oat day for Gieborne and Auckland. The x.s. The service, which for many years has been carried on by means of pilot schooners, is to be modernised by the " introduction of steam. A steamer to be named the Victoria is now being built for the purpose. She is to be 165 ft in length, 24ft beam, 10ft draught, and of 700 horse-power.
