A Morgue.

[to the editor.]

Sir,— l notice that a movement is on foot to have the morgue erected alongside the drill hall —the most unsuitable position that could be selected tor the purpose. The Borough Council have a section two chains higher up Coote road, and one that stands back from the road and out of sight. It is very suitable for that purpose, but of course the Borough Council wish to get a section from the Government on the cheap, as per usual. I don’t think it will come off.—l am, &c., Coote Road. Napier, July 23, 1900.
