[per press association.] Wellington, This day. Mr Pilcher cables from Capetown that Corporal Peddie, of Brabant’s Horse, has joined the Pretoria Constabulary. Trooper L. E. Smith, of Stratford, died of wounds on May 6. Major J. Rose was wounded at Baukenkop on July 3 (there is no Major Rose known). Lance-Cor-poral H. Thalf was slightly wounded at Bethlehem on July 5 (this name is evidently mutilated).
