[PEK PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, Last night. Trooper Smith, invalided from South Africa, the first of ,the Waikato contingent to return, at rived at Cambridge today and eot a great reception. The population turned out en masse, and the town was gay with fl-sgs. Smith was carried shoulder high by members of the Waikato volunteers from the station to the National Hotel, which is kept, by his father.
