NAPIER GAS COMPANY.
The annual meeting of the Napier Gas Company was held at tho Masonio Hotel this inorninjr. Present—Messrs J. Close (chairman), O. Palmer, W. Tabnteau, B. Sweetapple, B. W. Knowles, W. Miller, J. S. Weleman, J. Tennet, M. Welsman, W. H. Tylee, J. W, Neal, J. H. OolemaD, and J. W. Oarlile.
EKFOES. The following report was submitted by tho Erectors:—The new gasholder referred to in last report has been erected, and is now iti use. A dividend at the rate of tea per cent por annum, waa paid to 30th June last. After making proviuiou for depreciation in plant, it in now reoommended that the balanoe of profit and lose ucconnt be allotted as follows:—Dividend at the rate of 10 per cent pe* annum for half-year ended 31st December, 1896, £1037 10s ; reservo fund, £1000 ; balance to next year, £71 15s 2d ; total, £2109 5s 2d. The dividend will be paid on and after 12th February next. Messrs John Close and JB. D. ijweetapple are the retiring directors, both of •whom are eligible, and have been nominated, for reflection. It will be your duty to eleot an auditor. ISALiNLE-SHEST.
