Tod Swesney left for Woodvillo on Saturday evening, where he will ride Billy in his engagements on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Hon. J. D. Ortnond has cent in six nomiriatioM lor the Auckland Kaoing Club's Great Northern Derby of 1398-99, and Captain iiussell has four representatives. In the Great Northern Foal Stakes MrOrmond has ten nominations, and three in the Boyal Stakes.
