By a private letter from a musioal friend in Ealmereton North, I learn that Mr Fuller ia highly thought of in musical oircles there, and from the letter generally I should gather that the myriorama is well worth a visit. The railway officials were busy this morning " shipping " the local racers to Woodvilie. Messrs Ormond, Douglas, and Oonnop are the principal owner?. The Bam Fair, -whioh haa far many years been an important fixture to Hawfce's Bay pastoralists, as well as to southern breeders, will take plaoe on Thursday. Tho river has been rising steadily all day. At 1.30 pni the river at the old bed by-the Tomoana bridge was bank to bank ar 1 a little more will cause it to overflow. Tne paddocks on the Frimloy ijidu ore one sheet of water. At "Whahatu tho torrent is very stroncr, and tha river is only four feet from tho floor of the bridge. From Whukatu to Farndon the paddooku on tho west side are all more or lose under wator. Olive eeema to have escaped so far. At tho Farndon bridge tho water ia nothing like so high; in fact littlo higher than usual At the Shamrock Hotel the water ia up to the verandah, and the Meaneo road is covered ao tar aa could be seen ftom tho railway.
