Trouble is feared in the city owing to the Moslems being incensed at the preference given the Christiana. The Armenians are opening tbtir shops. The Russian fleet has arrived at the month of the Bosphorous. Grave conflicts have taken place between the Druses and Mntaha, at Sidon. The situation in Damascus ia serious. One hundred and twenty people have been imprisoned for inaulting the Frenoh and Russian Consuls.
