South Island employes ; D. Handisides (carpenter, Addington workshop.-, Chriatchurbhj 659, if. Symons (driver, dunedin) 442 P. K. Nolan (signalman, Dunedin) 386, W. H. Total number of names on roll, 4393 ; total vote. recorded, 4<>oo. The Boards of Appeal will therefore be oonshiiuted as follows:—North Island: Stipendiary Magistrate Martin (chairman), Messrs H. Davidson and T. Wilson, South Island : District Judge Ward (chairman), Messrs H. Baxter and D. Handieides. Messra Davidson and Baxter joined the railway service in 1877 aa station_.asters ; Mr Wilson as cleaner in tBB4 ; while Mr Handieides has for many years been employed as oarpenter in the, Addington workshops.
