ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION.

Madbid, June 4
Glavijo, an infantry captain, shot at and wounded the Marquis Eatrella, Governor of Madrid. The outrage was oommitted at a midday reception, and tbe offender waa wounded by the Governor's aide-de-camp with hia sabre. Glavijo, who was given into custody, admits that for some time past he haa hated tha Governor, who prevented him marryiug a lady on the grounds that he waa already a married man. Olayijo haa been condemned to be shot, and the sentence will be oarried out to-day.
