Norton, ridden over the steepleohase oourse at Ellerslie by hia owner, Mr S. H. Gollan, acquitted himself well. Ebor galloped two miles over hurdles, finiahh-.g strong. The i'avorite combination for the small stioka event and Great -Northern Steeplechase is Liberator and Bombardier at 15 to 1. Other prices—loo to 6 iCbor and Norton, 100 to 6 Coala and Boinbadier, 100 to 5 Coala and Norton, 100 to 5 Liberator and Fishmonger, 100_ to 5 Liberator and Liberator, 160 to 5 Liberator and Norton, 100 to 6 J_bor and Bombardier. Mr J. B. Williamson, Auokland, haa received a oablegram from Bydnoy to the effect:—"Bally-Hooley won the Grand ISational Steeplechase at Randwick."
