The Bathing By-law.
Tho following is tho vow bathing by-law, No. 417, which comoa into force on tho 15th instant: — "That sub-sections 1, 2, and 3 of Bylaw No. 411 bo repealed. Provided, nevertheless, that every person bathing in the sea, or in any river, or other "waters within, or within one mile, of the boundaries of the borough of Napier, shall he attired in a decent and proper bathing dress, extending from the shoulders to the knees; no white or flesh color, or net garments, allowed to bo worn. Provided also that every ptrson about to .bathe or who has bathed, as aforesaid, shall undress aud dress iv a bathing machine, so constructed as to effectuallyOTncertl such person from view during the process of undressing and dressing. Wo .person to be allowed to oroai any public road,, private street, or right-of-way, either in goi£sfi,r or in returnexcept in ordinary walkAny person committing any teach of this by-law, or any part thereof, Kail be liable to a penalty not oxdußtrfog £o\ ior every such broach." f
