Ledgcrsvoort. at Maroon, near Birregurra, -where a. pelrct little stud has been got together, Off Color and Lonsdale being the lords of the harem. The Olown is by Off Color, who is a ! so the sire of another pretty fair iiorse iv Brownlight. Though a bit ia anl out there could be no two opinions that Off Color was a brilliant horse when well. ' Hβ ran two grand races when he beat Commotion and La Grand in the V.R.O. Canterbury Plate, and put down Malua in the A JO. Rind wick Plate, but subsequently Le Grand beat h'm by half a length in the Champion, Commotion, Sting, Navigator, and Martini-Henry being amongst those who finished behind the pair. The Clown's dam, Equestrienne, died some time ago. Parthia, who soored her maiden win in the St. Albans Handicap, is a beautifully bred filly, being by Grandmaster from Crystal, by Maribyrnong from Chrysolite by Stookwell from Juliet (imp.) by Touchstone. She was bred by Mr J. Eales at Duokenfield, New r outh Wales, and ooot Mr Wilton the long price of 600 guineas aa a yearling. ~wS» Prestige (Bt.
