Invheoaboill, This day. A very euocessful sale of the leases of seventeen tune for the absolute term of ten years waa held at the Courthouse to-day by the Commissioner of Crown Lands. There was a large attendance, and spirited bidding in several instances, but the present lessees allseouredrenewals. Thekeenestcompetition was for Dunrobin, for which Mr Christopher Bassthan was run by Mr Scoullar, of Dunedin, from the upset of £65 to £156 Colonel Chalmers, of Mount Linton, bad to advance considerably to secure Wβ three areas.
