ROWING.
for the Napier Rowing Club's fours, of one mile, to be rowed on .eicetnber 19th, are due on Friday evening, ifcha 27th instant. Entries for the senior jpairs also close at the same time. In the absence of the secretary, nominations will be received by any member of the oommifctee.
Mr Thos. Morrison occupied the chair at a meeting of the Union Rowing Olub at the Provincial Hotel last evening. It was decided to open the season on Saturday next on the Tutaekuri river, when scratch fours will be rowed. Messrs Morrison, Fulford, and Taylor were appointed a match committee. Entries for the trial fours close next Saturdny. The rules, which have been revised by the committee, wore adopted.
