Mr Napier Bell, ha_ been instructed by the Government to make a full report on the Westport harbor works, covering the progress made, the present position, and the cost. Mr Bell is now here.
A local company has been formed to establish a new racecourse at Sergeant Hill, two miles from town, on the railway line, with complete accessories.
