A cable last night says Wandsworth has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup.

At a meeting of the Taranski Jockey Club Committee on Friday night, the tender of Messrs Cohen and Stock, of Napier, to work the totalisator for the season wa» accepted ; Mr J. 0. Evett was re-appointed handicapper for the anniversary meeting; and the programme for the anniversary meeting was finally adopted. ~.
