With reference to the cable message published yesterday announcing the departure of two thousand Russian Jews for Australia and America, the Premier (Mr Munro) says the authorities must refuse admission to the colony of paupers from foreign nations. POUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS. Adelaide, This day. Mr Todd, Postmaster-General, states that the cable business is steadily growing, and if the increase of work continues it will soon relieve the contributing colonies, as well as the cable companies of any loss. The deficiency for the past four months was £11,700. MINERS' STRIKE. The long-pending dispute between the miners and employers at Moonta has culminated in the men striking. They are agitating for a substantial increase of wages, and an alteration in tho system of tendering for underground contracts.
