; A veterinary surgeon who has examined Carbine thinks that with great oare he will be all right for the Cup. The horse has been soratohad for all his Sydney engagements. ■ The following horses have been scratched for the Caulfield Cup :—Kingwood, Sandy Greaves, Tirailleur, Megaphone, Tourbillon, Taurus, Meltonian, Zalinski, Strathmore, Sultan, and Pygmalion.
