Licenses for the above for the year ending 31st May, 1892, are now obtainable at the Town Clerk's Office. No License will be issued except on the certificate of the Inspector of Hackney Carriages that the vehicle is in good order, and each horse in good condition. Any Hackmy Carriage, Borough Stage, or Driver found plying for hire after SATURDAY, the 13th instant, without having taken out a license, will be treated as plying for hire without a license, and dealt with accordingly. NOTICE is hereby given that the Heretaunga Road Board intend, at a meeting to be held on the loth June, IS9I, to levy a general rate of one-sixth of a Penny in tbe Pound on all the ratable property in the Heretaunga Road Board District; such rate to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1891, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1892, payable iv one instalment at the Office of the Town Clerk, Hastings, on the 13th day of July, 1891.
