ADVANCE OF EDUCATION.
A LIBERAL BILL
London, June 9
In the House of Commons Sir W. Hart Dyke, M.P. for Dartford, introduced a Bill providing -for an extra capitation grant of ten shillings on all children between the age cix and fourteen years on the average attendances at the elementary schools, the the effect of which wili be t-> give absolutely free education to two-thirds of England and Wales. Tbe Bill was well reoeived and will probably be read a second time and then shelved until the next session.
