NATIVE LAND LAWS COMMISSION. Wellington, This day. The Native Land Laws Commissioners arrived in town last night from the Wairarapa. They proceed to Otaki on Monday to hold their final meeting with the natives, and on returning to Wellington will take what expert testimony is obtainable here before concluding their labors, and they will then hand in their report. Sir E. Stout, Mr T. W. Lewis (Under- Seoretary for Native Affairs), Mr H. D. Bell, and Mr M. Chapman are amongst those to be examined here. All the great tribes, without exception, will either have been visited or have made their opinions known iv writing to the Commissioners. Even the Uriweras have been represented and have taken part in the meetings. The Commissioners have been received everywhere by the natives with great cordiality.
