HARBORING AN ESCAPED PRISONER.
Invkbcarqiix. Thia day. 8 Banjamin Bo won, station cook at , t Wairaki, was charged with harboring John Henry Lewis, a prisoner who escaped from Milford, and was remanded. Bowon had served sevoa years for arson and met c Lewis in the Lytteltou gaol. Accused's 1 counsel said Lewis had a sheath knife in his a possession, and Bowon was afraid of his life if he informed the police.
