THE POLITICAL SITUATION.
Wellington, This day. The Premier had a further interview with tho Governor this morning, and it is understood tho date of calling Parliament together will bo decided this afternoon. Later.
The result of the deliberations to-day is that Parliament will bo called together in January, but not earlier than tho 17th. Tho Legislative Council appointments aro deferred for a day or two, tho Premier not being well to-day. Ministers will in consequcuco defer their departure from Wellington till next week.
