Our. cablegrams continue to giva us dayby day fresh ovidencw of tho disunion existing between tho Irish Homo Rulers. Mr Paruell has so often been tormed, ironically or otherwise, the " uncrowned King of Ireland," that, apparently, ho has come to regard himself in that light. He brooks no opposition ; -while his arbitrary assumption of the power of tho puree, and of the right to assert his authority as the mouthpiece of Ireland, show tho position ho would assume if that country had tbo independence he claims for it. Mr Parnell'fl actions have stimulated Mr Justin McCarthy to issue a manifesto appealing to the people of Irelaud to save their country from destruction. It is a curious state of things : but, perhaps, when self-socking patriots fall out, honest men will be able to live in peace.—A wonderfully philanthropic people are tho English. As if they have not enough to do to relieve tho distresses of their own countrymen, they must turn their attention to the condition of the Russian Jews. Tho reply of the Czar to the fussy interference of the Mansion House mooting will bo in ofFect, " Look at home, and mind your own business."—The 2|d ocean postage rato is ta como into force at tho beginning of noxt year, and tho New Zealand Government have approved of the design for tho new stamp.
