TOWN EDITION.
Some extensive alterations aro to be made to the Bank of New South Wales premises. During such alterations tho business of the Bank will be conducted in the brick building next tho office of this paper.
The North British and Hawke's Bay Freezing Company (limited) havo received the following cablegram from their London managers, Messrs Bryce. Junor, and White:
—" December 3rd, 1890. The mutton market is dull. Beef is advancing. Mutton is selling at 2s (id per stone, aud beof at 2s 2d por stone."
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency havo received tho following cable from their London office, dated yesterday :—" Sinco tho opening of tho salts competition is increasing-, and tho market is firmer for superior scoured merino and superior greasy merino. Other descriptions are unchanged."
