In the Caulfield Stakes, won hy The Admiral, he carried Sst. 41b, hiving a 7lb penalty, so he conceded weight to Megaphone, who had 7st 111b.
The Sporting Standard of the 2lst Oct. says:—'-A Titan-Derby scena at Bowes's Tattersall's yesterday. A loadiusr member of the ring offered 2010 to 1000 against the deposed hero, 1, 2, 3 ; also an even hundred that he does not start on Saturday week ; and to wimV up, was prepared to match a uony against the once Derby favorite for 1000 soys. aside. How has the mighty fallen !"
