Mr R. Sturm's Candidature.
[TO TH»'_ editob. I
ffeiß,— ALow me to inform you a little mo.o about Mr R. Sturm, as you seem to be . in a fog übout him, or are trying to do him an in jury in his candidature In the fir,.t placo you say he is not to be compared with Mr Carroll. Do you not think you are rather premature in this statement r 1 It is yet to be proved what he can do. I believe a criminal is always tried beforo being conJemned. You also say ho may obtain a few votes übout Herotaunga. There, also, you 'ire wrong, as ho certainly w.ul'd bo foolhardy to depend on such a small place. No, his source of strength is further afield, as you no doubt will learn later on. The only 'finclusiori one can come to in reference to you:- unjust attack is that you wish to do him harm i„ order n> support Mr Carroll. '>ut you will kindly remember that Mr Uu'ivll has to thank Mr Sturm for his late scat m Parliament, as he certainly would nut havo been elected if Mr Sturm had not withdrawn in his favor.—l am, &c
