TOWN EDITION.
New- to hand from Makotuku informs us that owing to the unprecedented fury of the gale several chimneys, part of Lycett and Cross's old prill, dairies, and sheds have been blown down; while at'Norsewood windows have been blown in, and Mr K. F. Mortensen's mill abed was smashed up. On Saturday night the mail coaoh that runs from Norsewood to Ormondville was in the Ormondville station yard without the horses,, aud the wind . carried it along the yard und capsized it oyer on to the railway line. A few volunteers lifted it up and ran.it back. Luckily nothing was broken. —Bush Advocate. '■''■•' ■ '
