THE LATE MR WHITE'S RACEHORSES. London, Octobor 8. Captain Machell bousrht Kirkham for (itO sruineas; Mr Swan Narellan for 250; Mr D. Buird the yearling Martini-Priucess for 550 ; Mr D. Cooper, of Sydney, Wentworth for 1700, Nepettn for 350, and Mons Meg for 600 guineas, at tho disposal sale of the late Mr White's horses. There was brisk bidding. Lord Randolph Churchill bade IGOO guineas for Wentworth. POWDER MILLS BLOWN UP. Tho powder mills at Wilmington, Delaware (U.S.), exploded, and 20 men were killed, whilo 40 were injured. Acres of trees and buildings wero destroyed.
