Sin,—With your kind purmi-*iou I beg to comr.-.dict a report that was circulated in reference to th-. inc.-ting of farmers and (settlers that was held at. my auction rooms on Friday evening, namely, thut the meeting was iv connection with the present labor troubles. This report is false, to
which tho huge number of people tint were present at the meeting will testify. Thei farmers and .settlors were called together for tho sole purpose of forming a Farmers' Club for their mutual benefit, and for the advancement of the agricultural and pu-toral interests of the lleretaunga district.
