This was proved to be correct and the stakes were paid to the second horso and the price that Expelled had been sold for wa7 offered to Mr Caulton, "Inch ho declined, as ho claimed tho amount of tho stakes as well. rhis being retu.ed by tho fetano stewards, he referred thes ca>o to tho Metropolitan Club, who deculod m Mr CaultoVe favor, and ordered the Club to oay over the amount of tho stakes iwoUw the selling price of tho horse to him.
