Oub readors may remember that some time during tho early part of the year wo expressed the idea that Mr Ormond had no intention to stand for re-election for Napier. Since then tho report has got about that he absolutely had made up hie mind to retire from Parliamentary life. The other day our Wellington correspondent added Mr Ormond's name to a list of gontlemen who were not going to Seek re-election. W e very much doubted the intelligence, and we are now in a position to contradict it. Mr Ormond will not only offer himself us a candidate for the representation of Napier in tho next Parliament, but will contest the seat against all coiners.
