MUNICIPAL INSURANCE.
Blenheim, This day.
Mr. E. Pui ser, local aocountant, laid before tho Borough Council a scheme of municipal insurance by means of calls on property-owners, damago by occasional fires to be met by a special call on all owners. The Finance Committee) intend to confer. Mr. Purser's scheme was well received, as the companies are now charging £4 per cent in tho town, and tho public are becoming impatient of the burden.
