Mails Close. For Gisborne and Auckland, per Australia, on Thursday, at 3 p.m. For Ginborne and Auckland, per Ohau, on Friday, at 2 p.m. For Welliugtan per Southern Cross, ou Friday, at 3 p.m. For Wellington and southern ports, per Te An;iu ou Saturday, at I p.m. For Gisborne, Auckhindd, and Australian colonicH, per Wairariipa, on Saturdity, at 4 p.m. For the iiandwich Islands, America, West ludiex, the United .Kingdom, Continent of Europe, etc., via Sun Francii-eo, on Saturday, 2Sth inst., at G a.m. Money orders will close ut 4 p.m. and registered letters at i> p.m. on Friday, 27th inst. This mail will be due in London on 3rd February. The 8.8. Tougariro will leave Wellington for London on Thursday, 26th inst. Spftcially addressed correspondence marked per Tongariro, will close on Tuesdtt}', 21th inst., at 0 p.ui. Parcels per parcel post will close on Monday, 23rd inst., at 6 p.m. This mail will be in London on 6th February.

POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS,

Wednesday, 25th inst., and January Ist prox. will be observed as close holidays at all post offices, and on Boxing .Day post offices will open from 9 to 10 a.m. At 8 p.m. ot 24th and 31et ir n t. all the letters received will be cleared, and mails usually despatched on the days on whiuh Christmas and New Year's Day fall will be closed the previous evenings at 9 p.m. On Boxing Day all mails usually closed later in tbe<!ay wilt be closed at 10 a.in., and one deL'.very by letter tarriers will be made, commencing at 8 a in. A delivery of letters will be made over the counter on the evenings of 24th and 31st inst., immediately after late mails are sorted, commencing at about 9.30.
