Smith offers a Medal as a Special Prize to the Competitor in the Athletic Sports who obtains the greatest number of Points at the meeting. Events will be decided strictly in accordance with the Society's Rules and Conditions of Competition. Tho Hawko's Buy Amateur Athletic Club's definition of a Professional will be adopted at this mcotin-'. In Amateur events only members of recognised Amateur Athletic Clubs will be allowed to compete. Conditions for Bicycle and Obstacle Race. —Coinpeiitore to be down on tho ground at starting, get up and mount machine, and ride over low hurdles; rido over sand bugs • ride to ordinary hurdle, dismount, and carry machine over ; ride over a tilt bridge • ride over a log bridge ; go ouce round the course proper; ride onco round obstacle course; ride once more round course proper ■ dismount, put on fancy suit, and carry baby once round course proper.
