The amount •■{£'.',7oo,ooo) ia required to convert' 10-JOe aiid the balance of the live million loan of 1879, both beuriug interest at 5 per cent.' The treasury peoplo are sanguine of the success of the now venture, and expect the loan to be floated at par or nearly so:"-
