Burd Helen, Daupliine, and Waterbaby were scratched. After a good start Pretender led his horses, which kept well together till the bend, when Man Friday challenged the leader. Paco was then put on, and Soudan and Boulanger came up with a rush, tho latter winning by two lengths, Brown Duke a bad third, Man Friday fourth. Dividends, inside £11 ; outside, £13 lis. At the fifth hurdle Liberty came up, but at the sixth jump Waterfall went through and challenged "Chemist, and a splendid race between the two ensued, Chemist winning by a length, Liberty a bad third, the others nowhere.
