Knlm left Wellington last evening, and Castlepoint at 7. -ii this morning. She will arrive here this evening, and return to Wellington to-morrow.

The paddle steamea Manaia. has been sold to a New Plymouth syndicate to run up the Mokau river, and ehe will leave for JNewPlymouth .-hortly. Messrs Galloway an.i Niven and Northo will effect the necessary npair*. The Spit will thus lose a very ola identity.
